This shot is one of a series that I took at the Ottawa Tulip Festival. The festival is known for having some of the most beautiful displays of tulips in the World.

The festival is a difficult one to shoot as it is incredibly busy. Ottawa fills with tourists throughout the summer but during the tulip festival it seems to get a little bit more packed. I personally am not interested in getting the story behind the festival I am more interested in getting up close and personal with the shear number of flowers on display. The shots I took are what I would consider macro shots. Technically they are not macro shots as they are not a 1:1 or higher reproduction ratio. As usual I would love to go back and shoot with a proper macro lens with a 1:1 reproduction ratio.
